Lawrence officials approved a 180000 increase for late 2017 street work, lifting costs beyond the low bid. The city commission approved the add ons at a December meeting after most work already happened, and a full list of changes was posted online.
KU undergoes a three year building boom including a School of Business building Engineering additions Earth Energy and Environment Center and residence halls. The $326 million Central District adds an integrated science building parking facility student apartments dining hall and power plant. The five year Far Above campaign raised over $1.6 billion from 2012 to 2016 supporting 16 new buildings 735 scholarships and 53 professorships.
