Westar CEO seeks fresh faces for shareholder support
Westar's chair says management renewal is needed as shareholders applaud calls for a new board. Shareholders voice demand for democratic changes, with several noting high stock volatility from $44.19 in 1998 to $8.51 last year and a shift toward singular board seats and a chief internal auditor reporting to the board. The Topeka meeting marks a shift away from Protections One and toward renewed investor confidence.
