Kansan wins genius grant for sustainable agriculture work
Wes Jackson of Salina’s Land Institute is among 33 Americans to win a MacArthur Fellowship, receiving 335000 dollars over five years to back his off the wall sustainable agriculture project. The award honors independent, creative work and could open new doors for Jackson’s perennial grain research rooted in native prairie ecology.
