Kansas City June 16 United Press Harvest of the 1924 wheat crop promises a strong financial base for southwestern farmers and bankers as bull wheels darken the fields. A heavy yield is expected barring two weeks of abnormal weather. Oklahoma yields near 13.8 bushels per acre versus a nine year average of 10.8. Total Oklahoma crop around 13.8 bushels, with Kansas seen at over 13 bushels per acre on about ten million acres. Farmers plan to store grain to support prices. wheat growers will pay 2 cents per bushel for two months storage, 1 cent thereafter.

Sheriff Will Johns received a telegram from Detroit police stating three men are being held there in connection with the theft of a new Buick touring car and five tires from Lawrence Buick agency. Windstorm Ravages Lawrence Area Causing Widespread Damage
