Lawrence district expands PAL-CWA union to all classified staff
The Lawrence School District board unanimously approved recognizing PAL-CWA as the union for all classified staff including custodians, office and cafeteria workers and other nonteacher employees. Deputy Superintendent Anna Stubblefield said the union now represents more than 700 employees after majority support.PAL-CWA Chair Hannah Allison urged unity as the expanded bargaining unit prepares to negotiate wages benefits and workplace issues with the district.
