Jayhawk Wing Restorers Preserve WWII Aircraft for Education
The Jayhawk Wing of the Commemorative Air Force preserves World War II planes and educates the public through air shows and events across Kansas. At Pratt and Hutchinson fly-ins, attendees can ride in a PT-23 or UC-78 for fees of 150 and 250 dollars respectively, with rides also offered at their Wichita hangar.

Lecompton Territorial Days Festival Returns This Weekend
Lecompton Territorial Days returns Friday and Saturday with carnival rides a kickball tournament a pancake feed a parade and a play John Brown Widowmaker. Quilt exhibit and pioneer skill demonstrations join the events at Territorial Capital Museum through July. About 4000 people attend yearly to mark Lecompton’s pre Civil War history.
