Mourners honor slain Kansas missionary at service
Mourners gathered across from the church to honor Martin Burnham, with dignitaries including Philippines Ambassador Albert del Rosario and U S. Sen Sam Brownback. Gracia Burnham sat in a wheelchair near his casket as a slide show traced his life from child to pilot and husband of three. Family recollections spoke of shared moments, fear during captivity, and faith sustaining the Burnhams. The service ended with a private burial at Rose Hill Friends Cemetery and a luncheon for friends.
