The Vinland Grange Hall at Oak and Main streets, built in 1884 with a $400 loan, is being nominated for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places after years of work by the Santa Fe Trail Historical Society. The two story stucco building shows wear but houses historic murals, a green paint layer, shuffleboard marks, and a portrait of the National Grange founder. The hall has served as meeting hall, school, bank, and barber shop, with lower floor housing a farm cooperative store at times.
