About 60 teachers participate in the Kansas Agriculture Business Industry Education Tour from June 16 to 28. They will stop in Lawrence June 23 and 24 to visit the University of Kansas and the Reuter Organ Co. One group will be luncheon guests of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce June 23. the June 24 schedule excludes the second group. The two week, 2100 mile bus tour visits 44 Kansas cities and is sponsored by the state Chamber of Commerce with Kansas State Teachers Association and state colleges. The aim is to acquaint teachers with Kansas so they can better inform students about the state’s industries geography and role in the nation. The June 23 group arrives from Topeka, tours the organ works and KU, then heads to Atchison. The June 24 group comes from Ottawa and after KU and organ tours departs for Kansas City where the two groups join for a Kansas City visit. Participants may enroll for college credit through the sponsoring institutions.
