Richard R Beach M D 88 of Lenexa Kansas died June 9 2012 at Lakeview Village Lenexa Memorial services are set for June 13 at Lenexa United Methodist Church Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery Kansas City Missouri Memorials may be sent to the Lenexa United Methodist Church or a charity of choice He was born June 17 1923 in Kansas City Missouri and served in the US Navy in World War II and the Air Force in the Korean Conflict He graduated from the University of Kansas and Washington University School of Medicine and practiced internal medicine in Topeka Kansas until 1985 He later served as the first medical director of HMO Kansas He was a former president of the Downtown Rotary Club of Topeka and active in Mendenhall Habitat for Humanity and other charities He is survived by his wife Mary Alice and children Nancy Clyde Miller Robert Jean Beach and grandchildren Sarah and David McNiel Hannah McNiel Brian Beach and Macy Paige McNiel Online condolences at AmosFamily.com Arrangements by Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee LJWorld.com
