Minnesota man holds fish hammer
Irwin Jacobs, a Minneapolis-based dealmaker once linked to the Minnesota Vikings, rises as a dominant figure in fishing. He chairs Genmar and leads FLW Outdoors, with sponsors like Walmart and Kellogg’s. He funds $20 million in prizes, promotes pro fishing to NASCAR levels, and lauds Lake Minnetonka while lamenting Minnesota’s off-site weigh-ins and DNA rules.
