Border towns seek more doctors through new program
In El Paso and border areas, 18 year old Ruby Navarro and 16 peers win early spots at UTMB Galveston through a program to boost doctors for Texas border communities. Participants, mostly honors students from low income families, must maintain a 3.2 GPA and MCAT 24 to qualify, with travel paid and stipends provided.
