Education culture mix in KU Native science program
A group of 45 teachers from across the nation participates in the University of Kansas MASTERS program to teach Native American students math and science through hands-on, culturally relevant projects. Funded by a 1.1 million NSF grant, the workshop runs May 31 to July 24 with balloon and rocket activities and a focus on cultural familiarity to boost student interest.
