Man Injured at Eudora In Gun Mishap Sunday
A 19 year old Douglas County man, Carl C. Hoover of Route 2, was shot in the lower right leg at the Eudora city dump Sunday while he and two companions shot rats. Hoover, in good condition at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, says the gun discharged as he slipped holding a .22 revolver and a flashlight. Companions were Fred Wright, 26, and William A. Wright, 15, both of 1311 West 22nd Street.

Carolyn Parkinson Crowned Miss Kansas at Pratt Pageant
Carolyn Parkinson, a KU sophomore from Scott City, was crowned Miss Kansas at Pratt.
