Magnolia blooms from Perkins tree in Lawrence
Guests at the Cooke Perkins wedding learned the magnolia blossoms came from a tree on the Perkins lot at Fifteenth Street near Massachusetts. Planted by the Luther family when they owned the greenhouse two years ago, the tree has bloomed each year since. The flowers are fragrant and the foliage glossy, making the tree a local ornament in Lawrence. Mrs Einstein notes her husband’s relativity theory is little known by the public.
