Three candidates vie for Douglas County sheriff seat in GOP absence
Lt. Jay Armbrister Deputy Dale Flory and Capt. Doug Woods lead a race to replace retiring Sheriff Ken McGovern. All three, longtime Douglas County officers, select undersheriffs and vow expanded bias based policing training. Primary set August 4 with voter registration due July 14 and advance ballot by July 28.
