Lawrence Transit data shows high on demand use and Sunday boardings
Transit official Weigel shared a dashboard detailing on demand bookings via the Lawrence Transit on Demand app and a 48 percent cancellation rate through June 3. He noted KU students may account for about one in four rides and highlighted healthy Sunday boardings, with a peak of 144 on March 31 and a recent floor near 98. Data show an average of 9.82 rides per service hour since January. The service plans August 2025 route changes and confirms a county sales tax funding through 2029 with a 2027 vote looming.
