County to convene grand jury over Kobach office actions
A three judge panel of the Kansas Court of Appeals ruled that the Douglas County District Court must call a grand jury to investigate alleged misconduct in the office of Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach. Steven X. Davis of Lawrence filed petitions in 2017 seeking a grand jury over claims of mismanagement of voter registration and neglect of election duties. Kansas allows citizen initiated grand juries.
