Webb seeks title at LPGA Rochester with edge from memories

Karrie Webb, defending Rochester champion, says less pressure comes from last year’s memories as she opens the LPGA Rochester International at Locust Hill. Webb, who won six LPGA titles in 1999 and four more this year, aims to hold up the trophy again despite rivals eager to challenge. Cindy McCurdy, runner up last year, posts strong finishes but faced illness earlier in 1999, now back to practice as she plans another late surge.
