Iowa pilot finds ancient cave drawings in Egypt near Cairo
George Cunningham of Algona Iowa discovered a desert wall with cave drawings southeast of Cairo that may date from 7000 to 6800 B C and later eras. Egyptian experts note hunting scenes, possible deities and a proto writing like a primitive eye of Horus. Archaeologists plan excavation and study while officials assess significance.
