County switches to magnesium chloride for dust control
Douglas County public works engineer Keith Browning says calcium chloride bids rose this year, while magnesium chloride bid lower. The county uses over 72,000 gallons each season and collects 40 cents per linear foot, with other factors affecting dust control efficiency.
