Rocket ends 30 year mission at Broken Arrow Park

The 27 foot rocket at Broken Arrow Park finally launched after hours of delays and preparations to be moved to Lake Cabinawa. Douglas County sold the rocket for 410 dollars to Jerry Cole and David Murphy who plan to install it for their grandchildren. Local officials say the old rocket was unsafe and will be replaced with new playground equipment in about two weeks. The removal and relocation faced crane cable and concrete challenges but the moment drew joy from Cole and his family and some park visitors showed mixed feelings.
