Defense attorney withdraws from child sex case in Lawrence
Mateo Clavel Wills 22 of Lawrence faced four counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child under 14 for alleged incidents at Raintree Montessori School between November 2021 and July 2022 while he worked as a part time child care worker. The attorney cited a witness conflict of interest after two years in the case. Wills was arrested July 6, 2022, in Douglas County District Court.

LMH Health Renovations To Shift Parking At LMH Campus
LMH Health announces a four week phase of Cancer Center renovations starting Monday that will immediately affect patient and visitor parking with resurfacing and regrading. Additional parking is designated on the west side of Arkansas Street plus free valet and wheelchair transport during business hours. The Cancer Center and Precision Cancer Care will relocate entrances and close their exterior doors for three weeks, with Arkansas Street entrance recommended for patients.
