A brush fire in Calabasas and Old Topanga near the Los Angeles and Ventura county lines burned about 515 acres, destroyed a commercial building, damaged two homes, and forced road closures. Evacuation orders were lifted as crews, aided by water dropping aircraft, reached 80 percent containment and began patrolling for embers. Three firefighters were injured lightly while 400 personnel battled rugged terrain under near 100 degree heat. Residents were allowed to return home Sunday evening though power outages affected up to 683 homes.
