WOW Opposes Subsidy for Wicked Broadband in Lawrence
WOW founder Fee said the city should not subsidize Wicked Broadband which seeks a 500000 grant to launch a 1 gigabit pilot in Lawrence. He warned that uneven incentives create an unlevel playing field and questioned the market need for such speeds. WOW plans a DVR upgrade with multi-room playback in six to nine months while maintaining Channel 6.
