Drosselmeyer Wins Belmont Stakes Clinching Triple Crown Chase
Jockey breaks winless Belmont drought as Drosselmeyer outgs Fly Down by three quarters of a length in the final leg of the Triple Crown. The WinStar Farm colt, trained by Bill Mott and ridden by Mike Smith, ends Smith’s 0-for-12 Belmont record and gives Mott his first victory in a Triple Crown race. Fly Down takes second with First Dude third after a late bid.
