Polio diagnosis for six year old in Douglas County
A six year old, Ted Williams, son of Sgt. and Mrs. St. L. Williams of Sunny Hide, has tested positive for polio at the K U Medical Center in Kansas City. The boy is making good progress at the hospital after being admitted Sunday. His father said the family is one of four children in the home. Medical officials say an early start is needed based on prior epidemic patterns in 1946 and 1949.
