Topeka June 6 The state corporation commission will require eleven major telephone companies to submit detailed statements assessing hook valuation for each exchange and report revenues and expenditures by exchange. The commission, in a statement from Chairman Homer Hoch, said the order is being prepared for issue soon. The firms collectively do a gross business over $60,000 annually and serve more than 80 percent of Kansas telephone users, though specific companies were not named.

Tragic drowning of Robert Jones at pond near Bismarck grove
Nine year old Robert Milton Jones son of Mr and Mrs Miller Jones of 321 Lyons street drowned in a pond near Bismarck grove at the city northeast limits after swimming with neighborhood boys. He reportedly swam twice and began a third crossing but sank in deep water. A bystander crowd and a nulmotor attempt to revive him failed. Funeral set for 4 pm Wednesday at Rumsey funeral home with Rev Seth W Slaughter officiating. Burial in Memorial Park cemetery. He leaves five brothers Jimmy Byron Kenneth Donald Lawrence and two sisters Marie and Irma Jeanne.

Damage Trial Ends When Judge Dismisses Jurors
The $15,000 damage action of Robert Dyer against Kansas Electric Power Co ended this afternoon in district court when Judge Hugh Means dismissed two jurors for visiting the accident scene without court permission. Sain and Lemon were excused from further service as the case was continued to the next term. Witnesses and remaining jurors were sent home after the court viewed the scene earlier today. Dyer alleges injuries from September 18, 1932, in a Ford roadster collision with a power company truck.
