President Kennedy and Prime Minister Macmillan confirmed shared Western policies after four-power Vienna discussions. Kennedy prepares a half hour radio TV report to the nation and will address the public Tuesday night.

Retired Gen Juan Tomas Diaz, accused of organizing the Trujillo assassination, was killed in a gun battle in Ciudad Trujillo along with accomplice Antonio de la Maza. A house to house search led police to the two after a tip. Diaz had plotted after retirement and led the fatal ambush last Tuesday.
