Penny Supper feeds Hartford church and funds good works
Eight annual Penny Supper dinners at United Methodist Church Hartford rely on home cooked ham loaf and chicken pot pies to raise funds for pastor salaries repairs and mission work. Volunteers from four committees prepare dishes serve 150 to 200 diners weekly with a friendly country gathering. The long running event began in the 1930s and now features air conditioning and a community tradition spanning decades.
