Activist charged after standoff interference in Lawrence
Phillip Michael Eravi, 53, appeared in Douglas County District Court on one count of interference with law enforcement related to an armed standoff involving shooting suspect Joshua Townsend. The charge carries five to 17 months in prison. A status conference is set for June 21. Townsend faces attempted murder and aggravated assault charges and remains free on bond.
