Big 12 keeps hoops tourney in Kansas City through 2016
The Big 12 extends its basketball tournament stay at Sprint Center in Kansas City Missouri through at least the 2016 season after a Board of Directors vote at spring meetings. The deal gives first rights to championship dates beyond 2016 and reinforces Kansas City as a key Big 12 site despite Missouri leaving for the SEC. KU officials praised the move noting unanimous AD support and long-standing ties to the city.
