Villanueva nosees NBA or UConn next season
Brookyn forward Charlie Villanueva, 6-10, has entered the 2003 NBA draft and orally committed to UConn over Kansas. His AAU coach says family ties influenced the choice as Villanueva weighs NBA prospects versus college near home. Kansas pursued him but Illinois was dropped earlier. Villanueva can withdraw by June 19 to return to college, with KU officials involved in Big 12 meetings in Colorado Springs.
