Kan sas reservoirs rise above normal levels in two week report

Douglas County auction and ambulance bids set for Wednesday

Bids are due Wednesday for a mobile heart defibrillator and monitor for the Douglas County Ambulance Service. The package will be funded half by federal aid and half by ambulance funds. Willow Springs Township approves levy vote on roads

Rural residents of Willow Springs township will vote June 16 on a 10 mill levy for two years to improve township roads. If passed, it would be five mills per year. Voters outside the third class city limits may vote. Polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Willow Springs Hall.

Wichita television reporter defies subpoena in murder case

KAKE-TV reporter Charles Duncan and the station refused a subpoena for film and notes from an interview with murder suspect George Poulos. Firefighters Benefit Shows Net Up to 800

Lawrence organizers reported net proceeds of 700 to 800 from two benefit county and western music shows held at the Lawrence High School auditorium Saturday night. Sponsored by Local 1596 of the International Association of Firefighters, Capt. Alvin Samuels said funds will go to charities. A large contribution is expected for muscular dystrophy research, with allocations to other groups to follow.
