Market notes show mixed grain and livestock shifts in early June
Chicago reports demand for North American wheat remains active with Canadian buyers purchasing up to 1.25 million bushels while prices drift lower on speculative selling. Wheat futures hover near parity with delivery markets in Chicago and Liverpool. Livestock in Chicago and Kansas City shows varied moves in cattle hogs and sheep, with hogs firmer and cattle softer on broad supply. Grain and hay markets in Kansas City display modest gains for wheat and declines for oats, with mixed grain receipts and prices across several classes. Produce prices steady to higher as of June 2.
