Lawrence school board sets vacancy process for Emerson seat
Board President Shannon Kimball outlined a June application window and interview plan to fill the Emerson vacancy through Jan 12, 2026, with swearing in July 10. The process mirrors last year's, includes 12 questions and multiple references, and will publish June 6 with entries due by June 13. Emerson resigned to pursue an out-of-state opportunity, leaving one of five seats up for reelection.
