City Leaders to Discuss Permanent Outdoor Dining Program

City commissioners will consider making permanent the parklet program created in June 2020 to let restaurants expand outdoor dining into sidewalks and parking stalls. The panel will weigh keeping the current expiration or pursuing a permanent version, after waiving $24,000 in sidewalk dining fees during the temporary program.

Signs of life for the citys music scene in Lawrence

Promoter Mike Logan, owner of The Granada and The Bottleneck, says live music may return in Lawrence as early as June with tentative shows in July and late August at the Granada.
