An electrical fault cut power to several traffic signals and nearby residences for about 45 minutes Sunday around Ninth Street between Ohio and Tennessee. A transformer failed, wires sparked briefly, and KPL crews restored service in roughly 45 minutes. Intersections affected included 11th and Kentucky, 11th and Tennessee, Ninth and Tennessee, Ninth and Kentucky, Ninth and Vermont, Sixth and Kentucky, Sixth and Vermont, Eighth and Vermont, and Eighth and Kentucky.
