Penalty Increases For Late 1943 Car Licenses
The county treasurer's office added a 50 cent late fee today for renewals on 1943 automobile licenses. A license for a car owned since January first costs 2.50 with the new penalty. By noon 8,905 passenger car tags had been sold this year, compared with 6,628 at the same point last year and 7,891 in 1942. Truck licenses reached 1,481 this year versus 1,442 last year and 1,645 in 1942.
