Weak races surface in 42nd to 44th Kansas House districts
In Douglas County voters will wait until November 8 to decide representation in the Kansas House and Senate. The 42nd District features incumbent Connie O'Brien challenging Jim Karleskint, with finance and tax policy a central issue amid Brownback era tax cuts. The 45th District pits Tom Sloan against Jeremy Ryan Pierce in a rematch, while 44th District Democrat Barbara Ballard faces Steven X. Davis.
