Police chief Phil Taylor of Hoisington Kansas was arrested at his home after a Kansas Bureau of Investigation probe. Burglaries and Arrests Reported in Lawrence and Douglas County
A 1989 gray Isuzu pickup and a 6 week old Blue Heeler named Punk were stolen from Clinton Parkway between 7 30 and 8 p m with clothes inside and the total loss listed at 1 375. Lawrence police charged 32 year old Harry Benard Saulisberry with aggravated battery and Aaron Schwartz with physical mistreatment of a dependent adult. Fire medical responses include alarms at multiple addresses and several medical emergencies with non transport or transfers noted. A preliminary hearing for an 18 year old Lawrence man charged with aggravated sexual battery aggravated criminal sodomy aggravated burglary and kidnapping was postponed. Births include a boy to Scott and Heather Seratte a boy to Trinity Ridpath and a girl to Rob and Mary Ann Phelps.
