Born August 1, 1881, near Oskaloosa, he farmed in Jefferson and Douglas counties and helped his father's rock business that supplied Lawrence before 1900. He married Lizzie Duncan in 1904. daughter Goldie Johnson Allen aids in the celebration. Five generations will attend. he has five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
