Maichel a 20 year old Route 2 Richland resident is in fair condition in Lawrence Memorial Hospital ICU after a one car crash on Richland Overbrook Road six miles east of Berryton Shawnee County. Investigator Duane Warner said Maichel had several facial cuts and loss of blood after the car left the road and struck a six foot embankment while he slept at the wheel. The 1955 car was demolished and there was no other occupant.
