Victim in Kidnapping Case Reveals Motive Hinting at Custody
In a Douglas County District Court preliminary hearing, the alleged kidnapping and battery case against Chelsea Adams and Anthony Thomas revealed the victim’s claim she and one defendant once considered themselves married. She suggested custody concerns may have motivated the abuse. Also charged were Tabatha Mallory, Christopher Fast, and Adams with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated battery, with Thomas facing updated counts after prosecutors refiled charges. The 22-year-old roommate and mother of one described a three-day abuse cycle. (Visit VICTIM, page 5A.)
