Lawrence police responded to two bomb threats aimed at Walmart locations at 550 Congressional Drive and 3300 Iowa just before 2 30 a m. The messages were from a male caller and proved false. Similar threats hit a Walmart in Leavenworth and followed a pattern of false alerts across Missouri Oklahoma and nearby states. No further information was available by 4 p m Sunday.
