Law enforcement report details chase near Lawrence hospital
A 31-year-old Lawrence man led troopers on a short car and foot chase Sunday near Sixth and Louisiana Streets. He was arrested on felony traffic and drug charges after a brief pursuit that ended with a local resident apprehending him. no injuries were reported.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Hinkle 43 of Lawrence are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lawrence Heights Christian Church with graveside rites at 4 p.m. in Pilgrim's Home Cemetery in Hope. She died July 27 2007 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born June 3 1964 in Salina and was a former Spooner, several workplaces listed. She was a member of two churches and active in Girl Scouts and marching band. Survived by husband Bradford Bruce Hinkle two sons Westley and Logan two daughters Caitlin and Dannan her parents and siblings. Memorials to the Hinkle Children Education Fund care of Warren McElwain Mortuary. Condolences at the mortuary site.
