Western Hills neighbors face steep sewer connection costs
In Lawrence Kansas the Western Hills subdivision ties to a city sewer after decades of septic use. Homeowners face $7,591 assessments plus up to $30,000 to connect amid rock, slope and trench issues. Some residents fear rising taxes, potential moves, and unclear city responsibility.
