Vinland Library Preserves Heritage and Local Stories
Vinland preserves its Coal Creek library and historic buildings with volunteers like Stan Lawson and Wilber keeping memories alive. The town honors Martha Kelley Cutter Smith, longtime librarian and descendant of the library’s founding Cutter family, who served from 1926 and died aged 108. The five National Register sites include the library, Barnes Apple Barn, Vinland Fairgrounds, Vinland Grange Hall, and Vinland Presbyterian Church.
