House Rules Block Omnibus Rivers Bill Delays Action
In Washington the fate of an omnibus Rivers and Harbors authorization bill hangs on a House Rules Committee vote. The panel rejected sending the 81 114,000,000 46 bill to the full House, suggesting no action until next year. Public Works Committee had approved the measure loaded with flood control and navigation projects for many states.

Kansac State College retired professor Fdwant C. Jones of Manhattan dies today in a local hospital after a July 14 crash near Chillicothe while en route to visit his son in Oak, ET. The Fiedler Recital by Charline Fiedler is scheduled tonight at Span frank Strang auditorium.
