Messrs and Mmes E A Logsdon hosted a reception for departing Woods, with Sigma Kappa and university groups planning garden and Union events. Nancy Van Bebber presents piano works, Eagles softball guests dine at Dillon's, and multiple clubs meet with July and August plans and birthday celebrations across Lawrence area.
A long list of Lawrence residents and visitors is noted with movements to and from cities like Rossville Los Angeles Montreal and Estes Park. Entries include family visits friends birthdays and campers with several circled by local social life and camp departures.
Elena Ernst departs this evening for New Orleans where she will embark on a cruise to Havana and Panama, planning to be away about three weeks. George A. Mills and R. S. Fox depart for Dallas on company business and expect to return by Saturday.
SIGEL W. C. Wingrove joined his father Roy Wingrove in Olympia. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Anderson visited Seaver en route to Salina. Odell Wiley visited cousin Othel Wiley in Garnett and Vinita. Miss parsao Kelsall vacationed with Sam and Mrs. Kelsall in Lawrence. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Wright left for Russell Springs after visiting Will Young. Mrs. Roy DeHoff and baby went home to Carl ton after visiting Sparks and family. Several local families, including the DeHoff and Pearsin children, spent Sunday with Eva Wiley.
Walter and Ernest Pohl finished threshing in their neighborhood Saturday and plan to thresh in the Columbia area this week. A surprise family reunion was held at Mrs. Mary Peffly's home for Mr. and Mrs. Ray Browning and family of Manhattan, who are visiting Lawrence for summer school. A cafeteria style basket dinner followed with many local relatives listed.

Mrs. Lawrence Peffly hosts afternoon callers Mrs. Browning and daughter Mr. Browning and cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rappard with daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Will Lynch also visit.
Sunday guests included W. O. Bidinger and Eula at the Roy Deskin home. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Deskin of Gardener visited Russel Spencer. Mrs. Paul Maust and Carol Lee of Lecompton stayed with Clarence Slusser. Mrs. Marel Murphy of Topeka visited William Murphy. Mrs. Richard Kennedy visited Wallace Kennedy. Miss Helen Deskin spent time at the W. C. Bidinger home Friday and Saturday.
